Resources to help you succeed

Strong Hall, the home of the College of Humanities and Public Affairs, is a four-story, state-of-the-art building located on the western edge of the MSU campus. Close to a convenient, covered garage parking in Bear Park South and several surface lots, Strong Hall is near the Duane G. Meyer Library.

How Strong Hall serves students

Strong Hall anchors the Missouri State University campus as a modern facility, featuring 21 classrooms, seven seminar classrooms, seven technology labs, 161 offices, nine academic programs, the College of Humanities and Public Affairs, Ozarks Public Television, KSMU Radio Station and broadcast services.

Strong Hall’s spaces include:

Duane G. Meyer Library

Home to nearly two million state and federal documents in its Government Collection, Meyer Library also provides:

  • Missouri’s only United Nations document depository

  • Subject guides

  • Academic journals
  • International newspapers

Philosophy Subject Guide

You can find a wealth of information online within the library’s Philosophy Subject Guide. Useful resources compiled by the library staff include links to books, reference materials, articles, journals, videos and more to assist your research efforts.

Special Collections

Special collections includes rare books, subject-specific literature collections and archival materials. It also includes the Ozarkiana Collection — a selective collection devoted to the Ozarks and southwest Missouri — as well as the Katherine G. Lederer Ozarks African-American archives.

Bear CLAW

Located in Meyer Library, Missouri State’s Writing Center helps students improve their writing skills. Students can seek advice on how to start a writing assignment, or learn how to refine a final paper for a course. Graduate students can receive critiques on papers for submission to academic journals, and undergraduates can find help with a creative writing piece.
