Student organizations

There are student organizations for you to join as either an undergraduate or graduate student in the political science department. Student organizations cover a broad range of interest areas and activities.

Career opportunities

There is a wide variety of careers related to the fields of political science, international affairs and public administration. The department has created a listing of careers opportunities in federal, state and local government, as well as international careers, non-profits and politics.

Internships

Internships are a great way to network and gain experience. There are several resources related to finding the right internship for you as a graduate or undergraduate student in political science.

Career Center

Located in Carrington Hall and Glass Hall, the MSU Career Center helps you get the work experience and resources you need to excel. As a political science student, you are invited to participate in the Career Center’s JobTracks program, which automates the scheduling of interviews, career fair registration and similar services. You can also use JobTracks to view job and internship postings.

Professional organizations

It is recommended that MPA students participate in one of the many public administration and public affairs professional organizations.

Education Abroad
